Sepp Blatter has money thrown at him at FIFA news conference in Zurich
Sepp Blatter walked out of a FIFA press conference after being showered with money thrown by a British comedian.
The stage was set for Blatter to deliver a few words as the FIFA executive committee and world's media gathered, but the appearance of comedian Simon Brodkin, aka Lee Nelson, stole the headlines.
Brodkin has a history of pranks and has targeted sporting activities before. The ex-doctor attempted to warm up with Manchester City players ahead of their Premier League match at Everton in 2013.
He was removed by police at Luton Airport last summer after trying to mix with England's footballers before the World Cup, stormed the X Factor stage last November and just a few weeks ago gave an impromptu performance at Glastonbury Festival when he joined a stunned Kanye West.
His latest act saw the 38-year-old appear at the HQ of world football in Zurich.
Brodkin was heard to say "Sepp, this is for North Korea in 2026" before throwing a wad of banknotes into the air as security guards ushered him away from the stage.
The news conference was delayed as organisers cleaned up the notes and Blatter returned to the stage approximately 10 minutes later.
