PDP women leader, driver die in Jigawa road accident

It was a tragic weekend for Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, family in Jigawa State, following the death of Hadejia women leader, Hajia Iyani, and her driver in a fatal auto crash along Guri-Abunabo Road in the state.

Stay out of politics, Abubakar tells religious leaders

Former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd), has cautioned religious leaders to stay out of politics to maintain their integrity.

Abubakar gave the advice at weekend in Abuja at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at (AMJ) Nigeria’s maiden National Peace Symposium, themed: “Religion, Peace and National Unity” and the 4th Northern Region Jalsa Tarbiya.

According to what we gathered on Naijakoko.com; Yesternight, a tanker's mission to supply fuel was cut short by bad luck around lakowe, beside kaz oil. The driver was so unfortunate as the tanker failed to yearn to his driving skills which yielded to tumbling. Now the tanker is upside down the major road... This is causing a serious traffic jam and this incident is gaining more attention by onlookers.

Adeboye to Osinbajo, Ambode: Use your offices to change Nigeria’s bad imagead

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has charged Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State to use their new offices to change the bad story about Nigeria.

He spoke just as Osinbajo and Ambode assured Nigerians that God would make peace to reign in the country with the advent of the new administration.

The trio spoke at the Seventh Edition of the Excel Programme of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, organised by Apapa Family of the church at the Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS, Lagos, with the theme; “Riding on the Wings of Change.”

Police beef up security at N/Assembly ahead inauguration

ICAO commences security audit of Nigerian civil aviation

The International Civil Aviation Organisation, ICAO, has commenced its ICAO Universal Security Audit Programme of Nigerian civil aviation .

Briefing aviation reporters at a joint news conference with the ICAO Official at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos,  the Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority ,NCAA, Capt. Muhtar Usman  said the objective of the USAP – CMA programme is to promote global aviation security through continuous auditing and monitoring of member – states’ aviation security performance.

FAAN partners Globacom to launch Wi-Fi at all airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has partnered   Nigeria’s multinational telecommunications company, Globacom Ltd,   to launch a nationwide Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) facility across all the airports in the country.

The facility will enable passengers waiting at airports and other airport users to connect to the internet through their smart phones, tablets, laptops and other smart devices.
