Inter have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign centre-back Joao Miranda in a €15 million deal, Goal understands.
The Brazil international has spent four seasons at the Vicente Calderon, winning La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Europa League under Diego Simeone.
However, Atletico are set to sell Miranda to Inter for a fee of €12m up front with a potential €3m in add-ons, while the player will sign a three-year deal worth €2.7m a season.
Miranda, 30, will link up with Roberto Mancini's squad after Brazil's Copa America campaign comes to an end, which is currently taking place in Chile.
Only recently, the defender played down talk of him leaving the Spanish capital for Milan ahead of 2015-16.
"Inter are a great team - one of the largest in Europe - but I can only speak about Atletico because I have a contract with them," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport after Brazil lost 1-0 to Colombia on Wednesday.
"I have a year left on my contract at Atletico."
