Mourinho hit with six-month driving ban

The Chelsea manager was caught on camera speeding 10 miles per hour over the limit on the A3 Esher bypass in Surrey in September, also earning fines up to €1200
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been banned from driving for six months as a result of a speeding offence.

The Portuguese was ordered by magistrates in court on Wednesday to pay a fine of €1200, as well as suffer the suspension, for reaching speeds of 60 miles per hour in a 50mph zone.

Mourinho was caught by speed cameras as he exceeded the limit on the A3 Esher bypass in September.

With nine points already on his license, the Blues boss earned a lengthy ban, while the size of his fine was determined by taking into account his "significant income", said the court.

He did not appear in court in person but submitted a guilty plea nonetheless. Chelsea declined to comment.
