As ridiculous as she often is, I quite like Jennifer Lopez.
The woman does not age. You know I love all things cunning and
clever–how can I not secretly adore someone who has outsmarted Mother
Nature?
And yet, sadly, not everyone shares in my ardor.
J.Lo is in hot water
with a Moroccan education group over her May 29 concert in the north
African country, where in she, obviously, shook her famous butt all over
the place and gyrated around wildly.
I mean, obvs, right?
But the group is having none of it. They’re suing Jen for
“disturbed public order and tarnished women’s honor and respect,” and if
found guilty, she could face anywhere from one month to two years in
prison.
PRISON, I TELL YOU.
Jen has performed in Morocco in the past, but this time it was televised, leading to the outcry.
Let’s be clear, Jen cannot handle prison. I’m almost positive they
don’t allow hair extensions or sell Le Mer cream in the commissary. I’m
sure JL’s team of lawyers is working to diffuse the situation, but if
not, I wonder if the US would force her to go?
Legal eagle minions, is there any merit to this suit filed
against our national treasure? Do you think that pop stars need to be a
bit more mindful of local social mores when they perform abroad? Or does
it make you sick to think that these haters are trying to keep a good,
ageless woman down?
