Health Is Wealth!!! 5 Things To Keep In Mind During Menstruation
Menstruation is monthly period for women. During menstruation, your body releases hormones in the form of blood. On an average a woman suffer from periods for 4-5 days in a month, this may vary from person to person. Period cycle is also different for all women.
Mensuration is an important part of your life and a matter of concern for all women and most of us are not aware of the do’s and don’t’s of mensuration.
Here Are Some Guidelines For You During Menstruation:
Use Proper Sanitary Napkins
Use proper and soft sanitary napkins for the flow of blood. You can use tissues also. Change your pad or tampon about every 3 to 4 hours to keep the blood from soaking through your clothes. Wash your hands every time when you change your pad. You can use cotton wrapped in a soft cotton piece of cloth to avoid rashes and redness.
Avoid Drinking Cold Water
Most of the women suffer from pain or cramps during mensuration and it happens mostly on the first and second day. To avoid this, you should not drink water taken from refrigerator and other chilled fluids like cold drinks, colas etc. As it would increase the amount of pain for you.
Take Proper Rest
If it is possible take proper rest during these days. Especially on the first and second day as more amount of blood flow and pain occurs on these two days. Take proper 8-hour sleep at night so that in the morning you wake up fresh with less pain. Try to lie down on the reverse side.
Drink Tea Or Hot Milk
When your period has just begun, drink tea or hot milk immediately as it help proper flow of blood. When it pains during mensuration drink hot liquid like tea, hot milk, hot coffee etc as per your choice to reduce the amount of pain you suffer.
Eat Healthy Food
Try to eat healthy food and take proper diet especially at the time of mensuration. Flow of blood can become a reason for weakness and dullness in one’s body. So take fruits, milk products, nuts etc. Intake of nuts is going to help you more. So take nuts of your choice. Taking green, leafy vegetables will also be helpful for you.
