Chelsea want Stuttgart's Rudiger

Reports in Germany claim Wolfsburg have agreed terms with the 22-year-old, while the defender's representative insists staying in the Bundesliga is his preferred option

Chelsea are interested in a move for Stuttgart centre-back Antonio Rudiger, according to his agent.

Reports in Germany are claiming that the 22-year-old has agreed terms with Wolfsburg, although the two clubs have not agreed a fee with Stuttgart holding out for €18 million.

But Rudiger’s representative and half-brother Sahr Senesie claims the Premier League champions are also in the running but admits the defender is keen to remain in the Bundesliga.

"I know there’s interest from Chelsea and Wolfsburg," Senesie told Kicker.

"Antonio would love to stay in Germany.”

The young defender featured in 21 games in all competitions for Stuttgart last season.
