A FOUR-YEAR-OLD cancer patient, who wanted to marry her favourite nurse, has had her dream come true after a US hospital organised a wedding for the couple in less than a day.
Abby, who has leukaemia, “married” nurse Matt Hickling at the Melodies Centre for Childhood Cancers at Albany Medical Centre in New York.
The “groom” was wearing a tuxedo T-shirt and scrubs. The other nurses on staff were “bridesmaids,” who carried bouquets of flowers and walked down an aisle covered in rose petals donated by a local florist. Afterwards, guests celebrated with cake.
